Join fellow incoming TK and Kindergarten families for a play date at Clifford School before school starts. Families will get a chance to connect while students can meet new classmates, play, and enjoy snacks!

Date: Saturday, August 18, 2018

Time: 10:30 am to 12:30 pm

Location: Kindergarten playground. The playground is located at the front of the school, adjacent to the school office.

Lap-a-thon 2018 – May 25

This year’s lap-a-thon will be held on the morning of Friday, May 25th. Students and staff will run or walk laps around the upper track with their class to promote fitness and help raise funds for the Clifford Physical Education (PE) program. Did you know that Clifford’s K-5 PE program is 100% funded by the PTO? If every student contributed $75 we could pay for the PE program for one year. Any donation amount helps! Donation forms will go out this week.

11:30-12:00: 7th Grade
12:10-12:30: TK & K Grades

Site Council Parent Rep Openings

Site Council is a decision making body made up of parents and staff. Site Council oversees and votes on the spending of Measure U monies as well as the SPSA (Site Plan for School Achievement) and SIP funds.

Meetings are generally held once a month. We’re currently meeting on Tuesdays, 3 p.m. in the Computer Lab. It’s a two year commitment.

If you are interested in running for one of the open parent positions, please submit your name to Principal Crane by Friday, May 25!

It’s time to order your 2017-18 Clifford Yearbook!

We have two separate yearbooks this year, compiled by the middle school students under the leadership of Ms. Territo and Ms. Lai, two of our middle school teachers. We are on a bit of a tight timeline and yearbooks will only be available for purchase for ONLY UNTIL MAY 3rd, so ORDER TODAY!

Purchase your yearbook on Treering:

Pricing is similar to previous years. While you will get an order form in your child’s backpack, it is actually a smidge cheaper to purchase online if you’re buying a hard cover yearbook. For elementary grade students, make sure you are noting to choose the TK-5 yearbook.

The other option is to fill out the order form attached and turn it in to the PTO Black box in the Clifford Office with payment.

A small amount of extra yearbooks will be purchased and sold the last week of school, but it will be first come first serve and we usually sell out the first day. We recommended to buy it now if you think you might want one to commemorate your child’s year.

Treering Ordering details:

1.) Log in to Treering and go to “account settings” (click on your name in the top right corner takes you there)
2.) Click your Child’s name and their info will show up to edit
3.) On the right will be a box that says Schools/Org, click “Add New”
4.) Here is where you will add the new passcode as 1015112009843087 (TK-gr 5)
5.) Save your changes and then go back to home and go to Buy Yearbook
Again the Passcode is different for PS – 5th grade: 1015112009843087

If you are new to www.Treering.com you will need create your account and use the above passcode as well when setting it up.

Come meet with RCSD’s Superintendent, John Baker, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Friday, May 4th at Clifford. As Dr. Baker said in the latest newsletter, “I have enjoyed seeing many of you this winter and spring during our gatherings that we call Coffee with the Superintendent. I started those visits in January and it has been a pleasure to celebrate our progress with you, to answer your questions, and to brainstorm together about how to overcome our challenges.”

Please come Thursday night, April 26th, for Clifford School’s Open House & Art Show!

Open House:

Kinder through 3rd Grade: 6:30-7:15 PM in classrooms
4th Grade through 8th Grade: 7:15-8 PM in classrooms

Art Show:

6:15-8:15 PM in the MUB

Our students’ Art in Action masterpieces will be on display in the MUB/gym–from Grades 1 through 5 (as a result of classes taught by parent volunteers), Kindergarten, and Grade 6 (Mrs. Defouw’s art elective class).
