Maze Day, Wednesday, Aug. 16th
Come find out your child’s classroom placement, finalize any unfinished registration items and learn more about our PTO sponsored programs and events. There are two times that you can come by: 9 AM-12 PM or 4-7 PM. Completing your child’s registration on SchoolMint and bringing a copy of the “Update Completed” email will help you move through the Maze more quickly.
If you can’t make it to Maze day, please call the Clifford office after Wednesday.
Thank you to everybody who volunteered their time in class, outside of class (e.g. prepping for teachers), and at all Clifford events, including the Casino Night Auction, Winter Family Event, Daughter’s Dance, Lap-a-thon & Carnival, Read-a-thon, Fun With Your Son event, Lego Night, Alice In Wonderland Production, Movie Night and more.
All the yearbooks ordered by the PTO have been sold; however, if you still would like to purchase a copy you can do so via the Treering website. Clifford’s passcode is 1013445510592750.

Dear Clifford community,
Thank you all for making the Lego night so great! I am very grateful to the PTO, and especially Katherine Schembri and Trina Licht who were so supportive of the initial idea. Trina, Lisa Silberman, and Dr. Tsai provided unconditional assistance and support with the planning and logistics. I also wanted to thank Clifford staff for helping with the many aspects of the logistics, Clifford volunteers who made the Lego night run so smoothly while keeping it on a very tiny budget. Last but not least, I want to thank the parents and more especially the students who came in big numbers and made this event so lively and fun!
It was absolutely priceless to see the children so absorbed and passionate whether it was building a racing car, their dream house, or finishing the spear of a building that shoots out of a Lego wall. I would like to invite you to see some pictures of the event that are posted on www.masterbuildersdojo.com.
Among the winners, though, there was one missing contestant that we haven’t been able to retrace, and I would like to ask your assistance to help me find the First Prize Winner of the Lego derby, Krista (or Krysta), who raced her car to a record-breaking 33 feet. I only have her first name, and she doesn’t seem to be registered at Clifford. Is she a sibling? A cousin? I would appreciate your assistance in elucidating this mystery. Her prize is waiting for her.
Speaking of prize winners, here is the complete list of our very own Clifford Master Builders:
Lego Derby:
33 feet: Krista (first place)
31 feet: Omar L. (second place)
30.5 feet: Horacio S. (third place)
30 feet: Malea W. (honorable mention)
Free build contest (theme: your dream house):
23 votes: Justin, Jack, Omar, Nick, James and Topher (1st place)
9 votes: Jason & Kaitlyn (2nd/3rd place tie)
9 votes: Elizabeth (2nd/3rd place tie)
Guessing the bricks in the Lego Jar:
332 bricks: Kaitlyn S.
Actual number of bricks: 327
Congratulations to all of you!
We are very excited to return to Clifford next year with new ideas. To help us crank up the excitement for the next Lego Night, I would really appreciate if you can answer this shorter-than-one-minute survey, which gives us invaluable feedback: https://tinyurl.com/clifford-lego-night-feedback
Thank you all, and I’m looking forward to coming back for the next academic year!
Warmly,
Nicolas Chaumont
